Didn't notice anyone post it here but that great hero to the people Devilz-Wolit discovered why the T9 cube was locking up. Apparently you need to remove the top un sticky tape in hope that the thermals will transfer... If i have it and he has it , did they do the whole production run without (giggle!)

Asus ZenPad bad nand but working need firmware help

Brought a job lot of these at an auction recently some work some ...hmm not so, the main problem being bad nands. They will after shorting the pins and much playing with, install the firmware and for all intensive purposes start and run the apps contained within the firmware, but on installing anything via SD card or google play upon restarting the device we are right back to square one with the device crashing.

When the apks are installed via flash and the memory allocated during setup everything is fine, adding to the memory/storage table just corrupts. With this in mind how difficult is it to add apk's to a custom rom.

I have this box that someone gave me that I think it's a rebrand, but I don't know on which is based of, the processor is S905X, comes with Android 7.1.1, kernel version 3.14.29. I wanted to change the ROM to one of those Android TV but I don't know if it works and as I don't have a reset button the only way to get to recovery is using terminal emulator and typing "reboot update", so if I bricked I would be done...

schision v88 plus 4k cant flash zip files.

so i have been able to upgrade using .img files with the software everyone is using. but i need to flash a zip file (for magisk) but i have tried putting the .zip on usb and sd card. aswell as tried going in the recovery and choosing adb sideload. but when im on my pc it says no devices. so i cant use that. i need magisk to hide my root so i can use an app to watch some special series. since i cant do this on my pc. any help is greatly apprechiated.
