There is finally good news from an Intel developer when it comes to the HDMI audio passthrough problems that we’ve been seeing with the Intel Apollo Lake and Kaby Lake based devices that utilize an LSPCon to convert the DP 1.2 signal to HDMI 2.0 signal. Previously DTS-X, DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD audio formats were not working at all under Linux, even if they were ok under Windows.
Why this was important? Well, for example, it was basically impossible to hear any Dolby Atmos content on LibreELEC or any other Linux distribution. Until this day I have not really been able to recommend the Apollo Lake devices for HTPC usage.
In any case, there’s a suggested kernel patch in this bug report. There are already reports of the patch actually fixing the passthrough issue so it sounds very promising. There will probably be a LibreELEC test build with this patch available tomorrow. I’ll definitely try that one out and report my findings as soon as I’ve tested this.
So as a reminder, the HDMI (LSPCon) firmware will needs to be updated if you haven’t done that yet. The latest update from March 2017 is 1.66 and available here. I did write an article describing the update procedure earlier this year.

Hi,
Since upgrading my Beelink GT1 Ultimate using USB burning tool to Android 7 (build 703) from Android 6 that it shipped with, now I can no longer pair my Bluetooth 4 mouse (Logitech MX Anywhere 2 model). The Beelink finds mouse but is for ever displaying "pairing" message and never actually pairs. This same mouse worked perfectly before with the GT1 under Android 6.
Has anyone else noticed this problem with Beelink GT1 Ult and/or got a fix please?
Cheers

A little disappointing from a 100% full charge down to 7% in 11 hours. That's with one 2 minute phone call and 37 photos taken (About an hour of camera usage)the rest of the time in my pocket on standby,Something seems to be sucking the battery dry iv made sure there's nothing running too,On a phone with 7060mAh battery i would of at least hoped for 2 days usage.
Now i played a youtube video over WIFI to see how long the battery will last,From a 100% charge
Down to 90% after 20 minutes
Down to 82% after 40 minutes
Down to 74% after 60 minutes
Down to 63% after 1 hour 20
Down to 54% after 1 hour 40
Down to 45% after 2 hours
Down to 36% after 2 hour 20
Down to 26% after 2 hour 40
Down to 17% after 3 hours
Battery 15% warning came on at 3 hours 4 minutes
Down to 8% after 3 hour 20
5% battery warning after 3 hour 24 minutes
Down to 1% after 3 hours 40
Still at 1% after 4 hours
Still at 1% after 4 hour 20
Still at 1% after 4 hour 40
The phone has just started to struggle at 5 hours loosing wifi & will no longer play the video
![]()
So it seems the battery indicator is out of calibration as the phone is still going but showing 1% (A firmware update could fix it maybe)The maximum iv got the phone to last is around 5 hours with the screen on and 25 hours of the phone being switched on but not used. For normal use this phone will need to be charged everyday.
I tested the phone with asphalt 8, A little slow on loading but it played fine,

A new report by Cisco's Talos Group suggests that the CCleaner hack was more sophisticated than initially thought. The researchers found evidence of a second payload during their analysis of the malware which targeted very specific groups based on domains.
On September 18, 2017Piriform reported that the company's infrastructure distributed a malicious version of the file cleaning software CCleaner for about a month.
The company's infrastructure was compromised, and users who downloaded version 5.33 of CCleaner from the website or used automatic updates to install it, got the infected version on their system.
We talked about methods to identify if an infected version is installed on the system. Probably the best indicator, apart from checking CCleaner's version, is to check for the existence of Registry keys under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Piriform\Agomo.
![]()
Piriform was quick to state that users could resolve the issue by updating to the new malware-free version of CCleaner.
A new report suggests that this may not be enough.
Talos Group found evidence that the attack was more sophisticated, as it targeted a specific list of domains with a second payload.- singtel.corp.root

The researchers suggest that the attacker was after intellectual property based on the list of domains that belong to high profile tech companies.Interestingly the array specified contains Cisco's domain (cisco.com) along with other high-profile technology companies. This would suggest a very focused actor after valuable intellectual property.
Talos Group suggested to restore the computer system using a backup that was created prior to the infection. The new evidence reinforces this, and the researchers suggest strongly that it may not be enough to simply update CCleaner to get rid of the malware. These findings also support and reinforce our previous recommendation that those impacted by this supply chain attack should not simply remove the affected version of CCleaner or update to the latest version, but should restore from backups or reimage systems to ensure that they completely remove not only the backdoored version of CCleaner but also any other malware that may be resident on the system.
The stage 2 installer is GeeSetup_x86.dll. It checks the version of the operating system, and plants a 32-bit or 64-bit version of the trojan on the system based on the check.

I and some other people had strong difficulties and problems in installing of firmware using Windows 10 64 bit.
I now explain my situation. I got my tv box with old firmware version 101 and I could describe the level of quality of this firmware as ridiculous and absolutely unsufficient for normal every day working. It was too raw, instabil, with interrupting LAN and Google Store without status bar and any possibility for easy to turn it off. I thought me what could one do with potentially very good hardware using on it so awful wry self-made softwares. But it always exists the last hope on next firmwares for betterment and improvement. But further a big surprise waited for me. The last hope died.
1. You can not upgrade it using OTA.
2. You can not upgrade it using recovery the recovery does not exist.
3. You can not upgrade it using a USB flash.
I guess Beelink encrypted everything in own firmware to noone steel it. And it is good right it is needed to save a such treasure. It was a sarcasm.
For users with 101 firmware is only one method to upgrade the tv box to use a special utility which install Realtek drivers for USB and flasher program. I tried it and stayed with a problem asking support service of Beelink.
Thus the Beelink support keeps silent I allow me to make some remarks about this situation.
The setup.exe program rkt mp usb utility tools has great problems in usb realtek generic drivers under windows 10 64 bit. After the successful installing setup.exe program the system just stops working the realtek generic USB driver with the code 10 in device manager windows.
Therefore the rtumdsam flasher program can never see the device Beelink sea and to flash it. In proof of this I inspected three different computers with windows 10 64 bit and the result was the same. Obviously it may take two causes -
1. The system conflicts with realtek driver on level of the system namely windows 10 64 bit.
2. On other side it is the conflict between hardwares for example third-party usb controllers etc.
3, Both
Dear coleague who had the same problem reinstalled the system on windows 7 and oh Wonder the system has seen the tv box.
I have the very bad 101 firmware from my tv box and I can not get the newer firmware thru OTA. What have I to do? Reinstall windows? Thank you very much.
Beelink company released very raw product with bugs and problems I spent my money and now I can not use the tv box completely.
I can not understand completely why Beelink has made such wonderful product and I do publish on Youtube this information especially about customers support to warn people of buying it. And yes lastly, the hidden encrypted Beelink firmware is very great know-how in tv boxes industry.

It’s kinda hard to keep track of all MGCOOL action cameras on the market but today we have a closer look at the recently launched MGCOOL Explorer Pro 2. The action camera si equipped with a 2-inch touchscreen display, a revolutionary 6G Sharkeye wide-angle HD lens (not available on any other competing cameras), and it’ll be available in two colors: Black and Silver. The camera is also available at a competitive price, which makes it a very appealing device in its segment.
Going more in depth, we learn that the previously mentioned 6G Sharkeye lens is supposed to help you correct video distortion and is well ahead of conventional lenses when it comes to transmittance of light and color revivification. The integrated Sony IMX179 backside-illuminated (BSI) sensor also enables users to capture videos even in low-light environment without sacrificing on quality. With this combo you’re able to capture high quality images and videos up to 170-degree ultra-wide-angle technology.
The MGCOOL Explorer Pro 2 comes with support for time-lapse and slow-motion video shooting. So you can let your creativity take advantage of that, filming sports or other fast paced activities. Powered by a 1050mAh battery, the MGCOOL Explorer Pro 2 is also capable of shooting up to 100 minutes of 4K video at 25fps.
The camera also ships with a tough and durable waterproof case, which can resist under water up to 30 meters. It is also possible to use it as a daschcam with Car Recorder mode. Plus MGCOOL added a feature to use the action camera as a security one via Home Burglar functionality.
The Explorer Pro 2 supports H.264 codec and is able to shoot images up to 16MP starting from 2MP. MGCOOL suggest to first insert a memory card and the install the companion app for Android and iOS before doing anything else. After you’ve done that you will be able to easily sync the images and videos from your camera to smartphone using the app.

Hi guys,
I bought a MXQ 4k (RK3229, the board is a R329Q_V2.0, wifi is SV6051P, there's a date stamped on 2017.01.17) used that has 6.0.1 MM rom on, but it had some Google Services issues, so i decided to upload another ROM.
From that moment, I've tried almost all roms on the Net, uploaded with AndroidTool, using the correct drivers and all roms don't work with my MXQ 4k (all roms show low blue light led with no hdmi signal and no boot).
The only ROM that works is this one:
http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...882#post646882 (it boots, no wifi and ethernet working)
Can you please help me understand why only this rom works?
Thanks in advance!
