Did someone found a TWRP image for H96 pro plus?

Im helpless wanna root to fix the wifi drop problem, and get the luxury of root.

But before i wanna flash a working twrp image.

Is there any one who can help.

Would be pleased for any idea or help.

Hello friends!
I have a TV player based on RK3229 (model mk809iv)
I wanted to run debian on him.
I already got root access and unlocked the bootloader.
I wanted to try booting linux from an sd card but ...
My problem is that I can not get it to boot from an SD card. It is left with the black screen with any sd card in the reader. I suppose it will be a limitation on the bootloader.

The other option would be to flash a rom with linux, but I do not know which one can go well for my device.
Any suggestions or ideas?

Hi Folks,

I have successfully flashed this Firmware http://chinagadgetsreviews.com/downl...-tv-box-2.html into my Amlogic S812 M8S TV Box (Wifi-Chip: AP6330) (Build N200C) via the Update App from an SD Card

(this is the best way to get Android 5.1 for this specific Box as I have tried with other methods like Amlogic Burn Tool & SD Card Boot however sometime that bricked my device). Before you start this I recommend you first make TWRP Backup first here

I can confirm this firmware is from a M8S+ Box. Note this Firmware is not Rooted and also has no android navigation bar.

Tested following so far:

Remote: Not Working
Wifi: Working
Bluetooth: Working
External USB Mice/Keyboard: Working
Play store - Working so far (Will Update if it changes)
Kodi and Other Media Apps working smoothly


I was wondering if someone can help or instruct me as to how I can get the IR Remote to work on this firmware, seen these remote patches here but couldn’t make them work (not sure if I done it correctly tbh) I formeted the SD Card to FAT32 then put the files into the SD Card then inserted into the Box whilst power off then powered it back on with the reset pin method (SD card And do a toothpick method recovery to flash) but it didn’t do anything.

So I'm a complete noob in this realm, but I learn fast and want to dive into deep. You guys all seem pretty seasoned at this, but I find some things in the forum confusing that I can't seem to find the answers to. If there's a lingo explanation for amateurs, please point me to it! Otherwise, I'm trying to figure out:

What do terms like AM1, AM2, UT1, UT2 etc. refer to?

Are ROMs and kernels the same thing?

Do these TV boxes need to be rooted like cell phones to flash different firmware?

I have a Amlogic s905 Quad Core Puersit Mini Pro 1GB/8GB. What are the differences between s905, s905x, s905w etc.?

What is LibreELEC? What is RetroArch?

I'm sure there's more, but any info to help me understand these basics would be appreciated!

Hi everyone firsts time poster here... bare with me. I have recently acquired a nextbook 7p12 4g.. Yes I know this a dinosaur... but it was going to be my tester tablet for some app I was planning to develop. Well long story short I got scammed and it is a bricked tablet... yes I know, I should have tested it before I bought it, lesson learned... never trust people. LOL.

With that being said I was curious if anyone has a stock rom for this turd that would work with shaunmt's TWRP recovery system. I saw it was on his todo list but doesn't look like he ever got around to making this rom. And he hasn't been active for about a year now. Although I did send him a message in hopes he might have had a rom finished but unpublished... Fingers crossed but not getting my hopes up.

Alternative route. does anyone have a backup of said rom that would work with stock recovery system? Again fingers crossed but not getting my hopes up.

Any responses to this is appreciated.

I have a few MXq boxes. All with different firmware

I can't seem to find kot49h 20160224 firmware?

Maybe you guys can recommend a good firmware that is up-to-date.

Hello Guys

Finally i found Android 7.1.1 for Sunvell T95Z Plus TV Box
Download from this link

To install the new firmware

1- download Burn Card Maker
https://www.dropbox.com/s/jejlf6xuw2...Maker.rar?dl=0

2- connect SD Card to your pc

3- open it and check everything then choose format as force

4- click make and choose the firmware image file

5- it will ask you to format the SD Card after you finish it will start automatic to create the SD Card with the new firmware

6- connect the SD Card to your TV Box

7- remove the power then connect the power again it will start upgrading automatic ( if the upgrade not starting then bring anything to put it in the AV hole you will feel click then connect the power it will start automatic )

now after it finish keep it for around 3 minutes and you will have the latest firmware 7.1.1

I have only one problem after upgrading i try to make root by installing supersu from playstore but it make the device stuck after first reboot so be careful

if any one can help with rooting 7.1.1 it will be good

Hi all, long time luker!

I have an MQX M10 tv box, this was a great box tbh, but only runs Andriod 4.4.1, I was unable to run Kodi 17+

With this in mind I searched for new FW, and noticed that the M8S(+ too?) Seemed the same ref board (info on board says M8 v8_9)

I managed to brick the box messing with different FW, but flashed a FW from Chinagadgets (.img file using USB Burner) for an M8S. This works fine, but it is only Android 4.4.1 again.

I have a zip with Android 5.1 on and TWRP (also from China gadgets!) But am unable to flash the TWRP to install the zip file (just hangs on boot on M8S logo).

I have tried installing the zip in stock recovery but get tge error: signature verification error, after it checks the zip file.

Anyone have any ideas, I have spent hours trawl ing the forum and internet in general and I'm pulling my hair out! Lol. If I could get TWRP to install I think it would then be easy.
