My tv box problem is wifi and hotspot won't turned on and right side usb ports won't work expect back port. i tried zip flashing new rom to solve it but it's won't worked. i tried also usb burning tools to flash it but usb burning tool not detecting to my box, i followed YouTube every steps but it's won't worked. is there anyone can help me with it to solve my tv box problem. thanks in advance

Hi there i have s905x board, i mistakenly pluged in my laptop charger by mistake and somehow it may have fried my box it started to smoke a bit so i immediately too plug out now when i put its adapter its sometimes blink red sometimes blu sometimes both and sometimes its contant blue light as if its working but theres no hdmi signal on tv. I can see a tiny component bumped may thats the fried thing i would like to know what this component is and if theres a way to fix it.

I've had a bunch of roms that burn to 100% without error with the Amlogic usb burning tool. But the screen is blank when I reboot after flashing.

Is the rom just incompatible with the hardware?
Can I look at logs for more info?

Hello, so it happens that I flashed a wrong rom to my device because I'm a newbie at flashing roms into tv boxes, and I messed it real bad. Before flashing the wrong rom, the device was able to get into recovery mode when connected to the TV. Now it doesn't give any image at all when connected, and both Batch Tool and AndroidTool do not detect it. All it does when I connect the usb-usb cable to the back port of the device is turning on the blue led in front, nothing else. So I've read a ton of posts and found out about the maskrom mode that would allow me to flash and unbrick it. The problem is that I can't find the right pins to short in orden for the pc to detect it... In all the posts I've read the only box that is similar to mine is this one. Hi Guys
I’m a bit of a newbie with these TV boxes, so there may be something obvious here that I’m missing.
I bought an Alfawise H96 PRO PLUS TV box a few months ago. After setting it up, it worked somewhat OK but was a bit buggy. On occasion it would suddenly go back to the main menu in the middle of a movie, or get all jammed up (frozen). After a while it refused to boot altogether.
So after some advice in these forums, I installed the Superceleron Rom with the update. I can boot the box now, and its working somewhat. The problem is that it's still a bit buggy and it freezes here and there. I even installed a bigger heat-sink, but no difference. I think that the main reason for this is Google Play Store and Services. They don't work. I get messages popping up every minute or so that say "Google Play Store keeps stopping" or the same message with Google services. I deleted the cache and data hoping that it would help, but it didn't. I can't sign into Google or do anything else with it. Although I could be totally wrong, I think this is the reason it freezes all the time. Any ideas?

Hey guys. Hope I got this in the right place. I have a Abox A4 running Android tv os 7.1.2(the bastardized version of real Android tv os). This box "claims" to be unrooted, it has a root switch where you can turn root on and off. Well, I turned root of and verified this with rootchecker. Rootchecker says the box isn't properly rooted. All good right? No. I'm trying to use Vudu on this box and Vudu has a root check system in place that won't allow the app to run properly on rooted devices. I can login to vudu, get access to the movie categories, my movies, I can click on my movies and it shows the play function. I can do EVERYTHING in vudu EXCEPT actual play a movie. When I click on play it gives me the 4 little blue spinning icons for a few seconds then boots me back to the movie page with a message that says "Encountered a problem, please try again"(or something to that affect). I have read others saying they have this issue as well and I did see somewhere that if I can get in the app and use most of it's functions then the root access isnt the issue but rather an issue with vudu itself. Does anyone know how to unroot a box that says it's not rooted but clearly there is some kind of root structure in place? I tried using superuser on another box like this and it crashed the box so I don't want to go that route.

I have been a long time fan and lurker of this website and am in need of your help. I have tried right about everything there is to find on this website and the rest of the internet to unbrick my device. It has gone so far that it has become a sport to unbrick the box, but I haven't been able to reach the finish yet.

I would really appreciate it if you hardware wizards and guru’s could help me.

I have a 2,5 year old Android tv box named "MXIII 4K" which I didn't use that much and a couple of months ago I wanted to install Linux on it.
Before that I had tried to upgrade the firmware with USB Burning Tool but could never find the right firmware for it. USB Burning tool always stopped at 2% so I gave up.

Before the brick it had Android kitkat 4.4.2 on it and runs on an Amlogic s802-b. It's a 2GB/8GB version.

Okay, back to what happened.
I created a bootable USB stick with "RemiX_115k4" on it thinking it was the correct firmware and booted into recovery method using the toothpick method.
I got into recovery mode and selected "apply update from EXT" and the box started updating. So far so good! Or so I thought...

When the update was done I rebooted the box and then, nothing...
No signal on tv, nothing. Just a red light on the box which would turn blue after pressing the power button, but then still nothing.

What have I tried so far to ubrick my device?

At first I tried connecting the box to my PC through USB and no power cord. The box led would stay red but my PC would immediatly identify the device as "WorldCup Device". I figured out that my box would always start straight into recovery mode because my PC would always detect it as WorldCup Device. Using the toothpick mode wouldn't change anything.
This meant that I could try and flash the device using USB Burning Tool. After opening the tool my box would be recognized and shown as connected.
After downloading about every firmware I could find on the Internet that would be anywhere near suitable for my box, I just started to try and flash it.
Unfortunatly I kept on getting errors and the tool would always stop at 2%. I tried multiple sizes and sorts of USB cables, different USB ports including USB2 and USB3 ones. I tried multiple versions of USB Burning Tool and the WorldCup driver. Made sure I had license files etc. But the flashing would always stop at 2% and the USB would disconnect and then reconnect.
I ended up installing the debug verdien of the driver and running a debug tool during flashing. This told me that there was a problem writing to the usb with the multi-USB command. But it didn’t help me further in any way.
Details of the USB connection showed that the box was recognised as an M8 Chip.

When this didn’t seem to work I tried the NAND short mode and then tried to burn, and the NAND short mode with toothpick. But always nothing...
