Amlogic officially presents its new SoC S922X, S905X2 and S905Y2
Amlogic has presented its new SoC S922X , S905X2 and S905Y2 at the IBC 2018 fair in a way that seems official, products that have been waiting for a long time and that bring interesting improvements that were already necessary. These new SoC have a new Mali-G31 / G52 GPU and USB 3.0 interface in the most powerful SoC. Now it remains to be seen when they will reach the market because Amlogic is undoubtedly one of the SoC producers that takes the longest between the announcement and the final version. On this occasion, yes, they have shown at least reference base plates, based on Android TV 9 Pie, that Amlogic wants to implement in all its current SoC, including the popular S905X. Amlogic S905X2 and S905Y2
The new Amlogic S905X2 and S905Y2 are undoubtedly the heirs of the popular S905X, a SoC that maintains the four original ARM Cortex-A53 processors but upgrades its GPU to the Mali-G31 MP2 model with support for Dolby Vision, HDR10 +, H.265 and VP9 among others. We have two versions that are basically the same, the S905X2 model designed for TV-Box has support HDMI 2.0 4K @ 60fps, USB 2.3 and 3.0, it is compatible with MIMO 2T2R adapters with Bluetooth 5.0 and the SoC S905Y2 designed for TV-Stick has a lower consumption and only supports USB 2.0 connectivity.

It also includes support for USB 3.0(seems to have forgotten the Type-C), MIPI-CSI / DSI interfaces for external displays and cameras. These new processors change the manufacturing system and possibly use 14nm, which implies greater efficiency, with much lower temperatures. We still do not have dates for the output of the first products with these SoC, so we know the manufacturers still do not have the reference plates to test.

Projector OTHA D13 - RK3328 issues
Hi all,
I just bought an OTHA D13 Projector with RK3328 and Android.
I did an upgrade to a recent version of Android (20180831) and now it is freezin at the main screen during boot.
Do you know if I can try to reinstall the software using one of the firmware you have for other devices based on RK3328?
I tried to reset via the recovery menu to factory situation but anyway the version is still the same and won't load.
Any idea about also a possible downgrade? I was not able to find any piece of software for this device on the web. Moreover, it is exactly identical to the YUANCIN D13 but also for this one I was not able to find a solution....

In Kodi has the image calibration tool, other boxs have this option, this one does not have.

Docooler R39 Star RK3229 Firmware please!!!
Hi friends, i very regret about buying this box, if i check with any cpu app shows as running at 1.0ghz maximun, this box goes sooo slow, i've never seen such shitty slow box, i barely can't use any app, takes ages to open them, i can't even use something as easy as youtube, it gets frozen at some frame, it come with android7.1.2..but... has somebody a valid firmware to run smooth this box? i don't mind the android version as long as it works properly, i have 5 units of this box, what a waste of money.

Issues with Geekbox upgrading.

Well, I started trying to upgrade my geekbox. I have done it before with the factory tool.
Tried to upgrade now to android 6.
Please read as I will try to elaborate on the steps:
I downloaded the driver tool -> Installed it -> Success.
Downloaded the firmware image and extracted it.
Opened the factory tool that I downloaded from the download section (English version)
Connected my device with the power and USB cable -> nothing.
Pressed update and reset while keeping the update pressed -> No id from the factory tool
I started to play with the device and now the front light are purple and will not change to blue.
I left the device for 3 hours -> Still purple
Long press on the power -> device shutdown -> press power again -> Purple lights still
Long press on the power -> device shutdown -> turn on with update button pressed -> Purple lights.
I would really appreciate any suggestions and help about this as I am frustrated by this device. Spent the past couple of days trying to fix it.

Geekbox hard reset instructions.

I am looking for instruction on how to hard reset my geekbox.
I tried upgrading the firmware to android 6 but the device was not identified in the "Factory Tool".
After a couple of reset attempts with the "Update" Key pressed, the device turned on with only purple lights.

I like to hear if I can jailbreak it with magisk mask and then put a costum firmware on? Is there any so for this specific player, and f yes, please I have been trying to look for it, but I only find one from wasser, dated back to 2015! Was thinking if anything newer was released?

Media centers based on Realtek RTD1295 or RTD1296 processors have been around for a few years. They usually run both Android and OpenWrt operating systems for respectively media functions (4K video playback, HDMI input recording…), and NAS functions like file sharing. media downloads, etc…. SinoVoIP also unveiled Banana Pi BPI-W2 board powered by RTD1296 last year, but so far I was not aware of any source code for the target.
Synlogy actually released a Linux 4.4 tarball a while ago, but more recently SinoVoIP released Linux 4.9.119 and U-boot source code for RTD1296 in Github.

You’ll find instructions to build from source, and flash the resulting U-boot and Kernel image from the Github page. There’s also some mainline Linux support for RTD1295, but maybe this release will help further speed up mainline support.

Android IPTV Box : Unable to open the homepage
Hi,
I recently flashed my Jynxbox Live with official Jynxbox rom and now I am unable to go to the homepage of the android box. When the box boots up, it opens a random webpage (my guess is its trying to open a discontinued Jynxbox iptv application and it) and I am not able to navigate to the android launcher page. All the box is allowing me to do is to navigate between that old IPTV application and settings.
I just need the abilty to install and open other android application. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Minix Neo X8 H-PLUS - source for Lollipop RC2 firmware (or a newer ROM like Marshmallow or Nougat rather than Kitkat).
