No One has an answer? Or Idea?

I had flashed my m8n quadcore (square) android tv box with a bad rom. Using the fix from here(Finless Zip) I was able to bring it back to life and everything back to normal..almost. No matter what I do I cant turn on the wifi or internet. In first settings it says accessing.......never changes. I go to other settings and turn on wifi and Ethernet, but the tab stays dull and neverturns on. It says it does but goes right back to off. There is nothing that I can seem to do. I have rooted and went into data, misc, wifi and tried to find the file to delete, but it isn't even there.
Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

NEW! Minix U1 EZ root ZIP method

Hey folks.... been a while aye?

So I got a Minix U1 and wanted to make a EZ root for you guys.
Let me tell you... learning to root via a ZIP file Lillipop was a MAJOR pain in the BUTT!!!!
Lillipop is very different than KitKat was.

So a Donation is appreciated if you like

This is a full proper root including fixing processes!
When you run the SU app for the first time you it will not have to update the SU binary which is unlike other root tools out there for the S905.

On with the show.....
Download the link below.

Unzip the file and put the 3 files on a SDcard.
ezroot.zip
recovery.img
factory_update_param.aml

Insert the SDcard into your Minix U1
unplug the power, wait 3 seconds and plug it back in.

Now this is the important part. We need to boot the recovery you put on SDcard not the internal recovery or the ezroot.zip will fail signature.

Press and hold the power button. KEEP HOLDING the power button until you see the Android man updating.
Release the power button.

The U1 will reboot and your done!

Enjoy the perfect root

The Tronsmart Vega S95 comes in three versions, the Pro, the Meta, and the Telos. All are powered by the Amlogic Quad-Core, 64-bit S905 processor. As the title says, this review is for the Meta.
Thanks to Geekbuying for supplying the quickly-shipped, Vega S95 Meta.

The Meta is the middle model, in Tronsmart's Vega S95 lineup and features:
  • 2GB DDR3 RAM, 8GB eMMC 5.0 Flash Storage
  • Dual-Band WiFi(2.4GHz/5GHz) and Bluetooth 4.0 via the AP6330 module

Our Package Arrival Warning System, better known as PAWS, went off today. As PAWS can be prone to false-alarms, I almost ignored it. As seen in the photos, I nearly missed it. It was DHL delivering the aforementioned device. Unfortunately, I was involved with a prior commitment and had to delay the unpacking for several hours. I surprised myself by the amount of restraint I was able to muster.
Anyway, now that I have a minute, let's open that package and get to some photos!

Hi Guys,

New to the forum and sorry for such a noob question but hoping someone can help me out or point me in the right direction. I recently recived an Emish x700 as a gift but am really not liking the interface and firmware that has come pre-loaded on the box; there are dodgy looking Chinese apps etc. I know this box may be out-dated now but as it was a gift I can't return it so I would apprciate if advice like "throw it in the bin" was excluded.
I would like to flash it and replace what is currently there with stock android or what ever the best firmware would be but as there is so much infromation here I dont really know what is compatible with this device. I have included all the details I have on the tv box below and hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
  • System: Android 4.4 KitKat
  • CPU: Quad Core processor RK3128 ARM Cortex-A7 operating speed up to 1.3GHz
  • GPU: Mali 400 MP2
  • RAM: 1GB
  • ROM: 8GB Max. Extended Capacity: 16GB

NEW - ROM for CX-919 CM12.1 (Lollipop 5.1.1)

All credits go to Oma7144 at CrewRKtablets for the original rom. (RK3188 Development)

It took me some time to find a usable kernel for our CX-919 and it still will need some work.


There are some bugs such as :

Screen is upside down : Could be resolved by removing ro.sf.hwrotation=180 in build prop ?
Wifi does not enable, results in bootloop : Could be resolved by adding ap6210 wifi module ?
...


I hope someone picks this project up as I dont have much spare time to work on this but I will continue development. Have to setup my linux enviroment first.


This rom should boot on any jellybean kernel. DO NOT USE KITKAT KERNELS

It also needs first generation bootloader so follow instructions precisely.


Instructions (be aware: it is your own risk!) :


Connect the usb port of your device to your PC via USB cable

1) installation of the usb-driver (skip if you have the driver installed already)

2) change the loader
a) run RKDevelopTool.exe
b) press button with the 3 points: load the loader (v1.24)
c) press button Erase ID Block
d) press button Erase All Blocks
e) press button Download
f) exit RKDevelopTool.exe

3) flash the firmware
a) run RKAndroidTool
b) hold reset button on your device while plugging in power
c) press button EraseIDB
d) press button Run and wait for it to finish flashing your device
c) the device will reboot in recovery, do factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache
d) reboot

Here is the Star Wars ROM for the Eny M8

A BIG thanks to aganno for testing the ROM. This is based off the same MXIII 115k4 firmware, but has a compatible bootloader installed that allows for going in and out of shutdown and standby using the original remote

Just like the other ROM, there are some tweaks to improve network performance, and no apps are included, it will simply upgrade the ones you have installed.

**Bluetooth doesn't work on this ROM. I'm busy trying to fix it, and if successful, v2 will have it

**widevine is enabled on this ROM, and correct kodi permissions are set in the boot image (thanks vn800art)

Help needed to unbrick my M8S

As above could really do with some help to unbrick my M8S, I can flash it with the USB flashing tool only as I cannot for life of me get it to boot from usb or SD card.

Currently my box is stuck on boot logo and does not go passed that. I have tried a lot of different solutions but no luck yet..

USB flashing tool recognises box but I am not able to find a suitable img file which will flash to box with out giving me error.

Hi all,

If someone have same concern with me about compile TVHeadend 4.0.7 for Android (ARM 32). This would be help for you.

Even current TVHeadend configure script support the '--enable-android', I have problem to compile this.

Here is step I used (May be this is not correct way, but I used this)

1. compile openssl for android and move to sysroot in ndk.
2. make pkgconfig file for libz and openssl into sysroot/usr/lib/pkgconfig
3. compile libiconv for android and move header files and lib files into sysroot/usr, (refer to http://d.hatena.ne.jp/android-memo/20130919 )
4. point PKG_CONFIG_PATH env var to sysroot/usr/lib/pkgconfig
5. git clone tvheadend and checkout to v4.0.7
6. patch with attachment
7. configure and build

./configure \
--arch=armeabi-v7a \
--cc=arm-linux-androideabi-gcc \
--android_toolchain=/opt/ndk10e/sysroot/ \
--disable-avahi \
--disable-libav \
--disable-v4l \
--disable-inotify \

HDMI problem

Hi Guys,
Newbie here, I have a PIPO p9 running Riley rom 1.9 and I have just found out I cant connect to my TV (Samsung) with it. It keeps saying HIMI connected then Disconnected. I have a HDMI Monitor on my PC and it attaches to that fine and displays ok. Have tried different TV's also my mate has the same tablet and he has the same problem. Any Ideas on whats wrong? Any help appreciated. Cheers guys
