M8S and UK TV catchup apps

Has anyone with an M8S or similar had success with All4 and demand 5 TV catchup apps in the UK?
BBC iplayer and ITV hub both work fine but with All4 I get a blank screen with audio after the adverts and demand 5 plays a little of adverts then says stream not available error PT-101200.
I've trawled the internet but the official help pages are useless and no one else seems to have the problem.
I thought it was to do with being rooted as some apps don't like it but I've tried un-rooting and rootcloak with xposed whlst rooted. The result is the same.

[ROOT] Minix Neo U1 root method

Hi guys,

I'm sharing with you my Minix Neo U1 root method. Hope this helps

First of all , download and unzip this file on your windows computer:

After that install Wifi adb on your Minix U1 ->https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...txapps.wifiadb

Go to Setup->Developer Options and turn on usb debugging

Open wifi adb and write down the ip address.

Now, on your computer, double click on root_u1.bat

The script will ask you to write the ip address you wrote down before

Just follow the script instructions and at the end the device should reboot, if not, do it manually.

After reboot you should be rooted. Enjoy!

Hi guys,

Well guys here is a rom for this very nice box!


What's inside :

V1
  • Built from updated sdk.
  • Unified Storage
  • TWRP 2.8.7.0, it will be installed after first boot ( thks abdul_pt )
  • ADB shell as root
  • Rooted with SuperSU
  • init.d support.
  • Xbox360 support, wireless and cable (original or clone wifi dongle)
  • Some apps installed, including my custom rockchip kodi 15.2 updated librtmp and cpu temp working.
  • Added setup wizard.
  • Simple launcher so use your favorite launcher....
  • Updated kernel.
I also cleaned,updated and fix some things!


How to install
  • Power off your MK68
  • Grab a paper clip insert in the reset hole in under the box. Press and hold the reset button now and insert the usb-a cable to the otg port(no need to use the power supply) . Your MK68 should appear as loader device.
  • Choose your image(s), press restore.
  • wait around 5/6 minutes the 1º boot (SO DON'T DESPAIR...)

DOWNLOAD USE AT YOU OWN RISK

PS: maybe later i will rls a dual boot one (droid 5.1 + lubuntu)

S802 killing my router

Recently bought an MXIII TV Box with an S802. It crashes my router (and I've tried two so far) every time it connects. This is using both a wireless and a wired connection. Is anyone else seeing this? I've got BT coming tomorrow and I'd rather not pay the £100 quid where they tell me it's my devices problem. Thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

tronsmart mxiii plus torrents not really working

Hello,
I got a new tronsmart mxiii plus, and I am trying to download torrents (Flud app) with the device.

First when I tried using wifi, but when I started the Flud app the wifi was restarting, so I connected the device with an eternet cable and it seems that the torrent speed is unstable.
Always going up and down.. maximum download speed is about 500kb/sec and this is only for a couple of seconds..

Should I send it back?

M8S+ amazing network speeds. Can I duplicate settings on M8 or M8S?

Hi all, just got my hands on an M8S+ and it's actually maxing out my 100mbit network connection when I test using Ethernet. When I test on M8S or M8 I would get around 50-60mbit. What file can I check for network settings (packet size, etc.) on the M8S+ and would it be possible to duplicate to M8S?

Edit: I should mention M8S+ has lollipop on it.
