W95 and Wireless Mini Keyboard with Touchpad

I bought a TZ P9 Wireless Mini Keyboard with Mouse Touchpad to use with my W95 TV box. It's about 6 euros (7$) and it solves many limitations of the original infrared remote:
- RF is better than infrared: better distance and not necessary to point towards the box to make it work
- real qwerty keyboard, so you type characters with much more ease and the virtual keyboard does not steal half of the screen
- real touchpad much easier to use than the arrow keys for the mouse
- you can easyly redefine the keyboard mapping with the excellent free application MKR (Multilingual Keyboard Redefiner). For me i remapped 3 keys: Alt-Left to Android MENU, Alt-right to Android HOME and Fn-Caps to PowerOff application

[REQUEST] Android TV ROM for Bqeel M9C Pro (TX3-PRO)

Hi there

after a long fight with my M9C Pro s905x which was totaly bricked (always with red light whatever you do), i manage to restart it with a stock TX3 rom.
Impossible to flash the box with any TVStock rom i find in this great forum. Always an error with sdcard update or burning tool, and back to brick mode.

if someone knows a rom which works on this particular box, tell me about it please !!

Android bot with shield when trying to update

Hi Guys,

Trying to install custom rom (SCV3A-ATV-Alfawise.H96.Pro+.img) for my 3GB-32GB H96 pro +

I'm trying to use the burncard maker, as I can't get usb burning tool to recognise my device.

However, when booting into recovery mode with my bootable sd, i'm getting an image of the android bot with a shield in grey (See attached picture)

Anybody shed any light?

Hi all, new to this forum.

I bought this kit:
  • H96 Pro H2 Amlogic S912 2GB RAM 16GB ROM Mini PC TV Dongle
  • MINIX NEO A2 Lite 2.4GHz Wireless Keyboard Air Mouse
I have used it for a couple of weeks now and have mixed results. So I have a few questions. Let me know if this is not the place to ask them.

I will go one by one to best keep track of the answers.

So let's start with my first question.

With some applications, for example, watching some video on a web page, I often have resolution change on my TV screen and it turns black for many seconds. I think I see this mostly when there's a buffering going on or some apps trying to set a resolution.

My setup is the following

H96 -> Denon AVR-S700W -> Samsung HD TV (all HDMI)
* I also have ROKU on the same Denon and TV with ZERO issues.

When it happens, I see the TV display the resolution (or blank) for a few seconds, telling me, the resolution changed to something not supported.

I can reproduce this on this website: https://occupationdouble.noovo.ca/vi...it-25-novembre for example.

So, is there a setting to force the TV box to stay at the same resolution all the time, like 1920x1080?

Going out of a web page and back to the main menu, I cycle through this black screen for a few seconds.

In droid settings, I have set the resolution to 1080p 60hz and "auto switch to best resolution" to OFF (same issues when ON).

I keep getting this error. Occasionally it's something else that has stopped instead of Google Play Services. I've had Launcher3, aptoide, Google Play Framework, and other programs stopped instead.

Clearing data for Google Play Services or Framework does no good. The best information I've been able to find is that it's a problem with the firmware killing processes, but I have no idea how to fix it and reports of the problem happen for several firmware versions.

If I reboot 3 or 4 times it'll sometimes work for a while.

Is there something I can do to keep this from happening?

Mecool MS8 PRO 3/32 - Bluetooth is not working on its own or with ethernet only working when wifi is connected ???

I've come across a really frustrating issue and I'm not sure if it is ROM related or hardware related so I would be super grateful if I could get confirmation from someone else here!

It's a Bluetooth issue for me with an MS8 PRO 3/32 model but I suspect this might apply to any MS8 PRO model. The bottom line is I have found bluetooth connections are only possible if wifi is connected.

I am running Mecool M8S Pro Nano Nexus ROM (Android 7.1) from Magendanz M8S_PRO-V0928_Nano-20171116.img

This is a pain in the ass if like me you want to stream your pc games over ethernet to your media player and use a wireless bluetooth gamepad connected to the media player to play pc games in the bedroom!

I've done some testing and basically for Bluetooth to work you must be connected on wifi first. If you have bluetooth turned on with wifi turned off/not connected then bluetooth doesnt work. If you connect ethernet then wifi or just ethernet then bluetooth doesn't work. And even when you connect wifi first and then ethernet bluetooth does work for a little while before both the wifi and bluetooth connections drop out. So the only time you have "stable" bluetooth is when you are also using wifi only which defeats the purpose of buying a media player with ethernet support! Grrrrrrr Don't understand why bluetooth is not working on its own or with ethernet!

Is anyone else seeing this behavior or if you can, can you please test/confirm?
If its a ROM issue I need to find a ROM that fixes this otherwise I need to send this box back to supplier and look at another model/brand!



PS for those not aware how game streaming is done and are curious you can stream with combination of GeForce Experience (Game Stream Option) on PC and Moonlight Streaming App on Android and I use SixAxis Controller App on android to connect a wireless PS3 controller

Also for those wanting to test this bluetooth issue you can try connecting to any bluetooth device (mobile phone, bluetooth speaker, etc) turn bluetooth on and wifi off on your MS8 PRO and see if you can connect to any bluetooth device?

I've downloaded the stock Rom 1.08 Full (without Chinese app)


Then with SPFT (v 5.1516.00), I flahed it.
Based on previous message I wrongly selected Firmaware Upgrade

and now I can't start my T9 anymore

Any support is welcome.

Buying a box in UK

I want to buy a box for my father as a gift for Christmas and was wondering if anyone knows a good box I can get IN the UK?
I see a lot of great recommendations but they are all in China, which I do not have a problem with but I am worried it wont get here in time for Christmas...
I have been doing my research for 3 days and and still lost.
I bought a DroidBox IMXQPro Mini on Black Friday for £45 but I do not think it is the right box for me so I am going to cancel the order. (Or should i just keep it?)
My father has an old box and 99% of the time only uses Kodi...
I was thinking a s905x box with LibreElec will probably be the best option.
I have been looking on Amazon and a certain auction shop but there are so many no name or not known name boxes I am scared I will make the wrong choice.
My budget is £30-60 and I do not need 4k support, just a snappy UI.
Wifi is a bonus but not a must, already have keyboard/remote etc...
Any help will be greatly appreciated as I have been pulling my hair out trying to get the right box!

unable to power on

I was trying to do the OTA update, stuck at pink screen, trying to do the hard reset, same thing. Then I tried to flash custom ROM, couldn't detect the box. Then out of nowhere during hard reset, the blue power on light disappeared, now can't get the power light to come back on no matter what I tried. Am I out of luck now?

Looking for a new media streamer, for video. Currently I have a 1080p TV. Looking for H265 support, and AAC to PCM encoding as my AVR does not support it. Which of the S912 have the best stock supplied firmware, and also most supported after market and stable firmware and free from bugs?

The Sunvell S912 looks ok, the red metal one- is Android 7.1 available on this? I do like having power button.

Ideally I'd like a remote control (IR) with full range of transport controls such as play, pause stop etc

Did anyone successful bring his MQX PRO 4k ( RK3329, 2G-Ram, 8G-ROM, Android 6.01, already rooted ) device to boot sth. from SD card? ( I'd like Armbian first )
I've found some "step by steps", but had no success with them. f.ex. I could not found Update&Backup-App :-) and with another Backup-Apps the aml_update.zip didn't work.
Also tried different dtb.img files .....

But I mean, there "has to be" an simply solution for that. Under /dev/block directory, there are rknand_boot and rknand_uboot entries.
Could it be, that I only need a proper uboot-NAND-file and burn it via "dd if=good_one.img" of=/dev/block/rknand_uboot" ?
