USB Debugging HELP PLEASE!

I've had about 10 different android TV boxes over the last 6 months from Amazon or Chinese sites that I can NOT connect to via USB. Once developer options are enabled and USB Debugging is enabled I ordinarily use a USB A-A cable and connect to my PC. Does anyone know why some boxes aren't recognized by my PC and others are? Is it a driver issue? I've tried several drivers that I thought would work for this Mecool M8s Pro + box but NOTHING works. And I don't think it's my USB cord because it works with so many other boxes. If someone can help me solve this issue I'd seriously be willing to Paypal my appreciation. I've scoured the web and I don't know Chinese =(

Hi
I received 5 days ago by gearbest a box alfawise h96 pro+ 3/32. (ordered with insurance and DHL).
For my first test, the box restarts or makes black or multi-color screens. Sometimes snowy gray. Obliged to disconnect the power supply.

It does not really work better. Some app like chrome don't respond after a few minutes of use. I can't do anything anymore. Required to restart the box by supply. And this rom is in english only

Hi, I'm new to the forum and Android TV in general. And I need some help.


1 - Which firmware to chose ?

I've bought a H96Pro+ 3/32GB at Gearbest, following the links here. I'd like an Android TV and not a regular Android and I can't decide between :

The 1st seems more recent but has been posted earier. Plus I don't know about this 9377 chipset. So question is : which one should I choose ?

2 - How to flash ?

In either case, I've downloaded the files and the install instructions state "Use usb burning tool....". So I've downloaded the software as well as Birn Card Maker BTW, because I don't have an appropriate cable for Burning Tool but I have a SD. In both formware archives, there are multiplev img files but I cannot select more than one. Thanks for your answers. I tries to look for a tutorial but all I could find only invloved one img file.

How can I do (sorry, I must be thick).

M8S+ Bricked but not sure..

Good day Everyone, I have an M*S+ with S812, and ap6330. It is bricked so I think. Red light, no HDMI, won't boot into recovery with SD. Good think is that it is recognizable without having to short any pins using USB Burning tool. Was getting stuck at 2% and through these great forums I discovered I was using the wrong image and got direction to the cryo image. Here is the weird thing.. I am able to burn the image right through to 100% with no error. (Normal erase/forced erase, it does not matter) I remove the usb cable, remove the power, and reconnect the power and expect the box to boot after the successful burn. I get nothing.. Red light (not blue as expected) no HDMI signal. All input cables have been tested as working. Any thoughts on what I may be doing wrong here ?

The device wont boot , blue lamp is on. I already contacted the seller, he advise me to reset the device, he even sent me step by step procedure, what i need working image for the device and bit of luck ;-)

Minix NEO U1 setup help

Hello,

First of all thanks for this wonderful forum, been a long time reader
I have finally made a decision and purchased a MINIX NEO U1, but i am confused on what is the best setup to watch live TV.
I am after an easy user friendly setup, that my kinds can use without needing my help.
I have seen STB emulators that can be used on android and also some stuff about running Libreelec from SD card.
The more I read, the more confused i get. Can someone please help or point me at the right direction please.

EMMC Initialisation

For reference i am checking emmc + sd card initialisation by various firmwares
and will post here now and then

you can check this yourself with dmesg via sshdroid from the play store

it would help if other people do the same whilst stating theyr nand chip and firmware

you need to look through dmesg fully as it does a tuning stage on the nand later in the boot process
which the h96 firmware isnt doing atm on the emmc

the end goal is to find the best firmware and to try and shame the box makers into fixing this

MY H96 PRO+ Nand 32GB Toshiba 19nm THGBMBG8D4KBAIR 170821AE EMMC HS400 V5.0 Read 270MB Write 90MB
Spec'd Speeds
EMMC = HS400 MMC emmc: clock 200000000, 8-bit-bus-width DDR
