MXIII Plus No Power. No Lights

My box all of a sudden has no power. No red light, no blue light, nothing. Ive even tried multiple power cables. Is this thing fried? Is there anything I can do to bring it back to life?

R-Tv Box Pro 3GB DDR4 ram, stuck at boot screen

I received a R-Tv box pro

Specs:
OS: 7.1
CPU: S912 Arm cortex-A53 CPU
GPU: Arm mail-T820mp3
Ram: 3GB ddr4
Flash: 32gb

When I got it today I did a factory reset on it and booted it up and it worked fine, I installed SU and updated it. I rebooted it and it won't go past the boot animation that say "R-TV BOX PRO". Im thinking the firmware got messed up by SU, I tried booting into recovery factory reset and wipe cache and let it boot up for over 30 mins and still stuck on the R-Tv box logo after boot animation runs. I unplugged it for over a hour and tried again to no luck. I tried looking everywhere for this firmware and it's a son of a b***h to find lol does anyone know a solution to this or even the firmware to see if that fixes it I would greatly appreciate it. I bought it off amazon so if worst comes to worst I can get a replacement or refund for it if I can't fix it but I want to see if it's something I can fix so I don't have to wait for the whole process of the return and new shipment.

belive me or not: the Sunvell T95Z is now sold with AP6255 WiFi/BT. Unfortunately, my device did get bricked after
i put an SD-Card in. Fortunately, I can burn new Firmware on it with USB Burning Tool.

I tried a lot of Firware already. all Sunvell versions available that I tried, being 6330 or 8830 do not enable WiFi.
With the Belink G1 firmware with 6255 it worked, but unfortunately the device is useless then (no remote, etc).

So I hoped anybody could send me the original Firmware or does have another idea.

Khadas or M8S II - Stability + Refresh rate switching aka HDMI self adaption?

Hey, I'm looking to pickup either the Khadas or the M8S. I see there are lots of custom firmwares available for each box, but I would like some feedback from users in regards to which box has more stable firmware.

I have a MINIX box, and it supports "refresh rate switching" aka "HDMI self adaption" in the Android OS (MX player, etc). Kodi is not important, as I will use Libreelec on SD.

Do either of the two devices support that feature inside Android? I'm looking for a box that will support "refresh rate switching"/"HDMI self adaption"

So it was sluggish once I got it, so before I create my review video. I thought let's do a software update, searched and found update 2016 08 16, I did update now Ethernet is Off, the function where it says off and on is totally taken out.

how can I find an older firmware to process and get the ethernet connection back?

now what I thought is firmware is made for different Network Module most of these boxes I believe have 9377 but the one I have is probably running 6330 or the other way around.

so I can't check the firmware which one they have entered.


can someone help me and bring some light to this problem, please.

Well i am very desappointed, because the support from gearbest no give any help or any solution about the coowell v5 last hynix 8gb memory.... i try install a95x firmware( this working on old memory samsung), i try boot by TWRP to update the binary from super su, but it cant update the system all times error.. i try king root. i try one file to a905x ( this promess update the system to root) by twrp but freeze on boot... Well no any methode solve my problem, we use this dongle to propaganda we need root because our tools reboot... and need rooted android......

Which NAND Pins to short MXIII 4k (RT8188)

Hi,

I've got a friends MXIII box that won't boot. Won't enter recovery and is not detected by USB burn tool. (PCB - MXIII V5.0 3916 Can't find a lot on this, Potentially a clone?)

I've tried the usual ways around and all I have left is to short the pins on the NAND to see if I can get it back to life.

Problem is I'm not sure what pins to short and what the specific procedure is for this board (leave short in place or remove once detected. Short before power, short after power etc.)

I tried to short the pins marked in my images and the red light just goes out. At one point I saw the light blink blue for an instant then it went red again.

Does anybody know whats pins I need to short on this board?

I recently got a r-tv pro and but I had a issue so in returning it. Im now deciding between a bb2 pro or a m8s pro (both s912, 3gb ddr4 ram, and 16 flash). After looking online on how to fix the r-tv pro I realized the lack of support for this. I see the bb2 has a good support so in leaning on that.

Any help is appreciated, thank you guys!

Now you can run Linux on Windows 10 without developer mode

One of the more surprising (and geeky) features Microsoft introduced with the launch of Windows 10 was something called Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL). Basically, it’s a tool that lets you run a Linux-based operating system such as Ubuntu within Windows. Up until now the only way to do that was to enable Developer Mode from the Windows settings.

But starting with the new Windows 10 preview build that launched this week, you don’t need to toggle Developer Mode to use WSL.



To be clear, the feature is still pretty much aimed at developers. Microsoft only officially supports running Linux in a command-line environment, although some users have figured out how to enable apps that have a graphical user interface to run (and some have even gotten full desktop environments to work).

The idea is to let developers run the command-line tools they’re familiar with straight from Windows, so they don’t have to switch computers or operating systems to go back and forth between Linux and Windows tools.

But Microsoft officials say that they’re confident WSL is stable enough to take off the training wheels.

Since it’s still a feature most Windows 10 users probably don’t want or need, it’s still turned off by default. But you can enable WSL by checking the box for “Windows Subsystem for Linux (Beta”) in the “Turn Windows features on or off” menu.

In addition to making it a little easier for anyone to give Linux-on-Windows a try, Microsoft will soon broaden the list of supported Linux-based operating systems to include SUSE and Fedora as well as Ubuntu.

How to Use Dolby Atmos Surround Sound on Windows 10

Windows 10's Creators Update added support for Dolby Atmos positional sound. This includes two things: Support for Dolby Atmos hardware and virtual Dolby Atmos sound that works in any pair of headphones.

The Dolby Atmos for headphones feature is a bit weird. It appears in the standard Windows control panel as an option, but it requires a free trial or $14.99 purchase via the Windows Store before you can actually use it.


What Is Dolby Atmos?
Traditional 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound uses 5 or 7 speaker channels. When you watch a movie or play a game with surround sound, that movie or game is actually sending 5 or 7 separate channels of sound to your speakers.

Dolby Atmos is an improved type of surround sound. It isn’t mixed into several separate channels; instead, sounds are mapped to virtual locations in 3D space, and that spatial data is sent to your speaker system. A Dolby Atmos-enabled receiver then uses specially calibrated speakers to position these sounds. Dolby Atmos systems may include ceiling-mounted speakers above you or speakers on the floor that bounce their sound off the ceiling, for example.

This feature requires Dolby Atmos-enabled hardware, notably a Dolby Atmos-enabled receiver. Microsoft also just added Dolby Atmos support to the Xbox One, and many Blu-ray discs include Dolby Atmos audio.

What's the Difference Between Virtual and True Surround Sound Gaming Headsets?
Windows 10’s Creators Update also added a separate feature named Dolby Atmos for headphones. This feature promises improved positional audio in any pair of headphones or earbuds. You don’t need special Dolby Atmos headphones. It's a type of virtual surround sound built into Windows.

Really, this is a completely different feature that’s only linked by Dolby’s branding. True Dolby Atmos requires a hardware receiver and special speaker setup, while Dolby Atmos for headphones is a digital signal processor (DSP) that takes surround sound from your PC and mixes it to offer an improved positional sound experience in headphones.

Some games have already added support for Dolby Atmos for headphones. For example, Blizzard's Overwatch includes built-in Dolby Atmos support, and it works even if you’re not running Windows 10's Creators Update. You can enable this feature from Options > Sound > Dolby Atmos for Headphones in Overwatch. Blizzard argues that Atmos offers an improved experience that allows you to more easily pinpoint where sounds are coming from in the game.




How to Enable Dolby Atmos on Windows 10

To start using this feature, download the Dolby Access app from the Windows Store and launch it.

The app will guide you through setting this up. If you have Dolby Atmos receiver you want to use with your PC, select With my home theater. If you want to use any pair of headphones, select With my headphones”.

If you select a home theater PC, you’ll be given a link to enable the Dolby Atmos for home theater option in the Windows Sound settings control panel. After you do, the app will prompt you to calibrate your system. There’s no additional purchase necessary for the home theater option—you just need the hardware.



If you select headphones, you'll be prompted to confirm your PC's sound hardware supports the Windows 10 spatial audio platform for headphones. Modern PCs should have sound drivers that support this feature, but you may be out of luck if you have a much older PC you've upgraded to Windows 10.



The Dolby Atmos for headphones feature isn't free.
While Microsoft integrated it into Windows, Microsoft clearly didn't pay the licensing fees to allow any Windows user to use it.

You can still try Dolby Atmos for headphones for free, however. Click the 30-day trial button to enable it.



Once you've enabled the free trial, you'll be prompted to enable Dolby Atmos for headphones. Click the Configure PC settings, button and then select, Dolby Atmos for headphones, in the Spatial sound format box.

This option actually appears in the properties window for your audio device even if you don’t have the Dolby app installed. However, if you try to enable this feature without installing the app first, Windows will prompt you to install the Dolby Access app from the Windows Store first.




How to Test Dolby Atmos

The Dolby Access app will allow you to test Dolby Atmos by playing a variety of videos that support Dolby Atmos audio.

While the videos are impressive enough, you'll want to actually test Dolby Atmos by playing some PC games or watching some surround sound-enabled videos before paying for it and see if you can notice an appreciable difference. Some people say they notice an improvement, while others don,t notice much of a difference. It likely depends on the games you’re playing videos you,re watching, too.



When testing Dolby Atmos, be sure to enable 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound in whatever game or application you use. The application will then produce surround sound, and Dolby Atmos will mix it to stereo sound for your headset.

You’re free to test Dolby Atmos for 30 days, after which it will cost $14.99 to buy Dolby Atmos for headphones support from the Windows Store.

How to Try Microsoft's Free Alternative, Windows Sonic for Headphones
Windows 10's Creators Update also offers a free “Windows Sonic for Headphones” option you can enable instead of Dolby Atmos. Just right-click the speaker icon in your system tray, select “Playback Devices”, click your playback device, and click ,Properties. On the Spatial sound tab, select Windows Sonic for Headphones”.



You may want to test this feature to see how it compares to Dolby Atmos for Headphones in your games and videos. We've seen some people say it doesn’t work quite as well as the Dolby Atmos option in their experience, but we've also seen some people say they don't notice much of a difference.

When it comes to sound, everyone often has their own opinion. Audio quality can be very subjective.

I've been using a Vigica C90 STB for the last couple of years and want to replace it with something newer which would be based on Android 6, but I see very few STBs which support DVB-S2, and those which do do not have 1Gb LAN apart from MECOOL KIII Pro - https://www.banggood.com/Mecool-KIII...p-1131214.html

Mk808 stook help

I finished using my Mk808 finless bob rom 2.1 and turned it off normaly by the power button and half an hour later turned back on but it is now stook at the loading screen with the black android man (when it turns on first ) WHAT? is there a new finless rom for Mk808 or is there anything i can do to fix it? Someone please help me
