• Custom kernel with some little fixes.

• - Menu Button is king on this launcher, its used to add remove icons on the main screen, also to remove widgets.

Bugs V1:

• You may loose sound when enable my rgb fix on my kernel only (disconnect the hdmi cable and connect it again to solve it or change source on your tv)
• Only update "su" if you are going to to stay at root if are not going to stay at root and you are going to be doing a lot of changes between the two dont update it! Or you will get a boot animation loop...
• Ugoos Firefly it needs ugoos kernel so dont turn it on because it wont work...
• TO DISABLE THE LED WHEN SLEEP YOU GUYS NEED TO GO TO "Display -> Daydream -> Power key action" AND CHANGE IT TO HIBERNATION, IT WORKS A LOT BETTER FROM MY TESTS, OR SIMPLE FLASH THIS FILE (DEFAULT KERNEL) BY TWRP AND IT WILL FIX THE LED BUT YOU LOSE MY PROPER RGB FIX AND SOME OPTIMIZATIONS TO THE KERNEL!

hi all
my v3 box is bricked I think blue light on but no hdmi power and nothing
with reset, I bought a usb/usb lead usb burning tool but box
not being recognized drivers going in ok but nothing been trying for few days is box ********
any help would be great

Hi all,

Just flashed the wrong Firmware on my GT1 Ultimate, that is S/N A912 (AP6255 wifi chip) and not S/N S912 or G912 (AP9377 wifi chip).

I have tryed to use USB Burning Tool v2.0.8, and this are the steps I'm doing:

0º Everything is disconected from the computer and also from the GT1
1º Start USB Burning Tool v2.0.8, set language to English.
2º Load the .img file, that on my case is "GT1_311M0.img" since I have the GT1 Ultimate Board q201_9377.
3º Go to File->Import Image and select the "GT1_311M0.img" to load. I get the Image check popup box.
4º I have the configuration on the USB Burning Tool set to: Erase Flash "X" - Force erase all, all the other check boxes are unpicked.
5º I press the start button on the USB Burning Tool software.
6º I plug the USB Cable A to A, on the side USB port from the GT1 Ultimate, and the LED comes ON.
7º I connect the power cord to the wall plug and to the GT1 Ultimate.
8º I plug the USB Cable A to A, to the USB 3.0 from the computer.

It is supposed to ear the windows sound but nothing happens.

I have tested many variations that I can remenber:
- Pressing and hold the reset button on the bottom of GT1 Ultimate with a paper clip before plug the power and USB.
- Withou pressing any button.
- Pressing and hold the reset button on the bottom of GT1 Ultimate with a paper clip after plug the power and USB.
- I have also tested around 6 versions of USB Burning Tool
- I also have tested all the list above but press the start button on the USB Burning Tool only at the end after everything pluged.

I did get once the GT1 Ultimate, recognized by the windows and USB Burning Tool, but when flashing I did get one error, after unplug and didn't get the windows to recognise the GT1 Ultimate any more.

Now I have 100% sure that is a bad bootloader.

Can anyone help me to identify on the GT1 Ultimate which are the PINs to short?

I do not even know which one is the correct chip where the nand is loaded

I am pleased to announce that with a lot of help and work from bluesmanuk followmsi in both teaching and helping me learn how to do the following.

I have taken the recently released stock firmware Dolamee_D5_rtl8189es_RK3229_6.0.1_20170224.img and modified it to include TWRP and SuperSU.

A few notes for use of TWRP

Yes, I strongly recommend to backup data only.
This is your data and your apps and your settings - the rest is coming from the ROM you are using.

I do the same .. even more in AOSP world.

But you can still try to backup and restore system too .. have a try.
Should work too .. ext4 permissions should be still saved inside the tar backup of TWRP.
Same principle as data .. independent of the selinux stuff.

The kernel that was complied by "them" (whoever put out the stock firmware) was not configured for selinux.

Per followmsi 's quote above strongly recommend backup/restore of data partition of your device with TWRP.

I do not fully understand the ramifications or reasons of this but be warned.

There is no reason other than I wanted to push out a "as stock" as possible firmware with TWRP installed.

Please be warned, use of this is AT YOUR OWN RISK!

After my first custom ROM for the Z4 RK3368, I decided to make my next rom challenge with my already dust covered "bricked" S905 tv box.

... and BOOM ... now this lame duck is a pretty solid low budget android TV box.

Custom ROM for the MXQ PRO 4k - p201.RTL8189ES

This custom rom mod is based on the UGOOS AM3 V0.0.7 TV firmware

Important Note

This ROM has already driver of the following Realtek WiFI chips included

• RTL8188eu
• RTL8189es
• RTL8192eu
• RTL8723bs
• RTL8812au

My p201 Leelbox has the RTL8189es WiFI chip. So i can guarantee you it is working with that one. If you got another version of the MXQ PRO p201 box, that has one of the other Realtek WiFi chips build in, give it a try.

I have taken the recently released stock firmware Dolamee_D5_rtl8189es_RK3229_6.0.1_20170224.img and taken it apart to accomplish the following.

Removed all excess bloat.
Removed all home screen apk's
Installed XBMC Launcher
Installed FTMC-16.1-armeabi-v7a-Build-24-RK-Version (huge amounts of thanks to the FreakTab communit)
Modified Boot logo
Added DRM Lvl 3 support http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...-android-6-0-1
Petrus's reboot installed. It just works.
And then modified it to include TWRP and SuperSU.

Hi,
I have a strange problem that I did not found any solution for about few weeks now. Let me describe first my TV setup: I got an older Panasonic 37” Plasma TV set that does not have HDMI input. I use HDMI to COMPNENT converter because my TV does have Component input for better picture equality. I purchased my MXQ Pro + S905 some few months ago. When I connected this box for the first time to my TV I did not got any picture at all. So I connected it to another TV that I have with HDMI and I noticed that the problem was that system outputs picture at highest resolution, 1080i. I changed default output resolution to 720p 50Hz, which is possible for my Panasonic plasma to handle. Reconnected to Panasonic TV through converter and I got great picture. So that was solved until I found that the factory installed firmware was crappy an decided to upgrade to SD Robots (Tronsmart) firmware. And so I did. On SD Robots firmware I also at first did not got nay picture eon my Panasonic. So I did same procedure as before, connected to different TV with HDMI, changed default HDMI output resolution to 720p50Hz and re-connected the box to plasma display. Well, no picture. After some toying I found out that the device no longer “remembers” set HDMI resolution and after re-connecting to different TV set it always defaults to 1080i. I tried different ideas, like connecting the box to power bank to maintain settings and so on out of which none worked. So I ended up flashing stock firmware which I can use on my TV but it’s as you know, buggy like hell. Does anyone have any idea how/where to change default HDMI output resolution PERMANENLTY on the SD Robots (Tronsmart) firmware?

Hi everyone

Be gentle.
In my time I have hacked the XBox, PS3, PS2, Fire Tablets (that was hard), Kindles etc.
I have even changed the firmware from the shit one on my OTT M8 to the Finless.

My dilemma maybe simple to you but getting my head around the whole root/unroot thing.

The OTT M8 (authentic) has the Finless fw on it.
I want to put my (authentic) SkyGo app on it for upstairs. So I can watch the football in peace.
However it now says the device is rooted and will not install.
If I put the stock rom back on (found on here), will the device be classed as stock? i.e. unrooted?

Ironically my BT Sport app works absolutely fine on the rooted firmware!

All help very much appreciated

• Sorry due to need stock custom kernel for VP9 to work, i cant use my Kernel.. so NO PROPER RGB FIX... it uses the one from stock.
• On 1º boot when you setup in english language the on screen keyboard may not show when you going to put you wifi password, to fix it go back and change to another language and then go right back again to english and the on screen keyboard should be working now(you need to click it): YOU ONLY NEED TO DO THIS ONCE AND ONLY IN ENGLISH!

I had this box gt1 ultimate about a month now my Antivirus flags ((FotaProvider)) as malware its built in the system can't Uninstall had to use titanium to Uninstall. Question is will I get my ota updates.
