Need Help with half bricked Ematic EGP008

I have an Ematic EGP008 that will not go past the ematic logo. I have researched to see if there is a way to repair this tablet.

Any help will be appreciated.

Some (hopefully) helpful info:

My Windows based PC will not recognize this tablet when it is plugged in by usb.
There is nothing on this tablet that I want/need, I just want to reload the tablet to factory settings
I cannot get into recovery mode. I have tried every method I have found. This tablet has only an on/off/reset button and a touch screen.
